RAF Hunsdon in the snow..

It’s topical folks….

Any idea who was in residence in late Jan 1942? This is when these two photos were taken.

Any ideas? I know nothing about Hunsdon apart from Jericho and of course having googled. Too far south for this 4 group gal!

got some bits from a Stirling crash at Hunsdon 1942…never knew of an airfield there..

3 Squadron – 09/08/41 – 14/05/43 Hurricane IIb, IIc, Typhoon 1b
85 Squadron – 03/05/41 – 13/05/43 – Havoc I, II, Mosquito II, XV, XII
1451 Flt – 530 Squadron – 22/05/41 (08/09/42) – 25/01/43 Havoc II (Turbinlite), Boston III (Turbinlite)

One unit there about that time was 1451 flight with Turbinlite Bostons, IIRC. At work, so can’t check.
