Over the years I have collected quite a few Hurricane photographs, but I have yet to find any that are clear shots of:
– The rocket installation, including the protector plate mounting.
– The armored radiator of the Mk IV.
Would anyone have clear photos of these that they would be willing to share?

I have not heard of a armoured radiator on a Hurricane before, did it change the external appearance of the radiator housing or was it hidden out of sight within?

Hi Richard,
I am not sure if the armored radiator was external or internal. The photo attached of the Birmingham Museums MkIV (which was kindly provided by a fellow forum member) suggests that the armor was entirely external to the radiator and likely could be removed or installed as required (note the fittings where the radiator is joined to the fuselage)
