FO Gordon Murray 603 Squadron

Good Day:

I am looking for any information on FO Gordon Murray of 603 Squadron RAAF.
FO Murray, per the book “Malta: The Spitfire Year 1942” by Christopher Shores, et al was shot down over Malta 22 April 1942, Who shot Murray down, I believe he was pursueing a JU 88, his Service # J/7232 per CWGC
I’m interested also if Murray saw any combat prior to Malta, was he in BOB?
Gordon Murray was a nationally known model airplane hobbyist in the United States prior to WWII also, Murray was a US citizen, who I believe went to Canada to join up, any info will be greatly appreciated.
