Dove Trestles

Bit of a long shot this, but we’ve been asked to locate a set of trestles to allow the road haulage of a dismantled Dove.

I’m aware the Devon was recently moved by road from Redhill but am unsure whether they used a set of cradles or a pile of matresses (often just as good!).

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of a set of cradles please drop me a PM.

Many thanks,

G

Try Devonair at Little Rissington. They have a treasure trove of Dove/Heron parts.

We did have some at the museum, but they are quite simple – just a shaped piece of wood that goes at the appropriate position on the keel.

I’d be happy with tyres and mattresses I think!
