How many a/c, pilots & groundcrew to a wartime fighter squadron? Please.

Did the title of this thread get changed?

I’m sure it said complement, (which would have been correct when discussing unit personnel) when I first read it!

Compliments, as in paying of compliments, would mean saluting!

I’m sorry that pedantry in my only contribution to this thread……!

No bloody idea! I was in a hurry when I wrote this down, so I did the quickest translation I could make in my mind. It was only after I was done I saw that the listings were actually in English as well. 😀

Spits: Varies between 11-14 but don’t quote me on that one

Certainly nowhere near my choosen subject, but those figures tally well with one of the BoB programmes that was on recently that said twelve Spitfires/Hurricanes to a fighter squadron – that would be ideally I would suppose.
