I must take my hat off in admiration. I built the kit on which this model is based almost straight from the box & that took me over 6 months and mine doesn’t come near to this quality.
Amazing build- I wish I was half as good.

Perhaps it was a field of mustard…………….;)
Model making of this quality is simply mouth-watering.

IIRC he also did a 1/48 Stirling and Manchester. Haven’t seen any detailspics of these.
Great modelmaking although to nitpick (hey it’s a Halifax), the canopy framing is a bit off making it too high and flat at the top, but who cares, it’s a masterpiece. He even added the “ditching exit” text above the pilot’s head. Let’s hope Trumpeter brings out a good quality Halifax, and whatever RAF heavy as well, the Wellington is gorgeous.

Allow me to make a comment please.
Tsonos Megas, is my teacher. He was my inspiration 20 years ago! Tsonos, Has NOT built the 1/48 Stirling. That was a model from another modeller Mr. Aris Polizos. Tsonos has built, Avro Lancaster, Avro Manchester and this extraordinary Halifax.
I do Agree with Phill
“Now thats what I call modelling!!
It’s good to see someone go to this level of work WITHOUT using aftermarket resin/white metal/etched brass enhancement sets..”
That’s my theory also. Unfortunately the new status drives the new modellers to Assembly kits paying hundreds of euros…than modelling using their ability and agility.
Anyway that is my personal opinion. I prefer to make something by myself, even this will never be perfect.

Just cannot resist when I see what is spoiling such a good model photo,it is just the same as the electric doorbell in the Bof B film.

Great model of a superb type. My nitpick is that the aerial view backdrop includes a field of Oilseed rape , a crop not grown at that time.
Do you have to nitpick – is it compulsory?
