this picture it appears to be an ammo belt just beside the exhuast am i right?

Indeed, we found about 80 feet of it in all styles, B-17, B-24 and P51.

now that exhaust stack looks very nice.. I wish i could download the pics i took of the few bits i found whilst on another airfield search.. nothing as grand as that though .. yet 🙂

I would like to ask though.. Does anyone know anyone who can do GEOPHYSICS in the south west of the UK. I think Ive stumbled on to something, and might need to consult ,if anyone can help ???

Heck of a lot of stuff, some fascinating finds

But then any effort , however small,to recover artifacts is worthwhile IMHO !
