This was trialed in the UK by the 482BG at Alconbury on B-24 and B-17 . Consisted of a 16 foot wide vane carried under the fuselage. It was used by B-29s later in the Pacific war. Do any diagrams exist of this installation ?

Yes thanks for replying I had seen this. I may try Boeing archives or Maxwell AFB to see if they have the B-17 fit.
