Did anyone else catch this regional BBC programme last night?
IMHO it was more enjoyable that David Jason’s Battle of Britain programme on ITV.

Just watched this on iplayer and whilst a very good programme, certainly on a par with David Jasons Battle of Britain , it did feel a little rushed and didnt really bring anything new either. But well put together all the same.

Thanks for the iPlayer link – I couldn’t find it when I searched!!
And the link I followed said not available on the iplayer!
I did, however, find this which may be of interest to those unable to access the BBC iplayer:-

I share TwinOtter23’s view that it is a better programme than the BOB one from ITV. If you must have a luvvie presenting popular history, it’s preferable to have one that can manage a bit more than the “cor blimey, that must ‘ave been wicked” style of David Jason.

Spelling mistake
Before someone points it out I left the U out of the word Scroungers.

Dambusters Declassified
Only those living in the East Midlands and Yorkshire area were able to see the programe, there were regional variations, in London and some other areas we saw Saints and Scrongers the rest of the country had there own programes I hope there will be a repeat of Dambusters Declassified.
Tonight Tuesday 14th on BBC4 at 8.00pm (if you able to receive that channel)
there is “WELLINGTON BOMBER” its a story of how a Wimpy was built in 24 hours.

Research by the BBC has proved that no-one outside of Eastern England is interested in the exploits of RAF Bomber Command, being as it was mostly based there. It’s a ‘local’ programme that would leave the rest of the country baffled and disinterested.
Thanks BBC, I’ll stick to watching Eastenders, which is about the lives and loves of a small community in London. The whole nation can be united in watching their exploits – much better than a bunch of fops in RAF uniform.
