But seriously, I am pleased he didn`t carry on trying to defuse that grenade, he could have destroyed many important historic artifacts.

POW camp in his garden?
Presumably a big garden or a small camp.
Read in another paper he cleared 1 acre of land to find that little lot and seems there may be some more land,So he may find more.
Still a nice find amazing whats still left under our noses!:D

These houses in Dacre Close & Nicholas Close are built on the site of an old POW camp as well……. not that you’ll find much now, as we didn’t find much as teenagers back in the 70’s long before the houses were built.

Amazing – more history than any hoard of gold coins. Priceless. I hope he finds somewhere decent to display his collection. “Our” history is more than about resurrected aeroplanes.
