A new switch box! Where do all these parts come from I wonder. Dad had one for the points on our model railway, “that’s the bomb panel from a Lancaster” he would say and I would never quite believe him.

It’s a model at this point and really the software is doing 90% of the work, the bomb panel is about 4 rectangles and one switch is two spheres and two cylinders repeated 32 times, the colours and reflections all handled by the computer.

There will be painting when the modelling is finished, that’s going to require talent which I may not have enough of! That is probably about a year away. Then scenery, then animation. I’m hoping to (virtually) fly her for the RAF centenary but that’s not looking likely.
