SIAI Marchetti S.M.102 MM61791 At Bovingdon

Can anyone help me with the fate of the Aeronautica Militare Italiano SIAI Marchetti S.M.102 MM61791 which languished at Bovingdon until about 1960. The reprint of W&R 1 (1961) – from which the attached image of the aeroplane is taken – says that it was dismantled there in August 1960. Does anyone know any more of this or of what became of it after being dismantled? I’ve found what I think to be a subsequent reference to it on the web which describes it as “Roma – Demolitore Bentivoglio via Bufalotta” (perhaps someone with more Italian than me can translate that) together with undated photographs of the forward fuselage in a sorry state. Also does anyone know why and when it came to be at Bovingdon and what was the reason for its apparently lengthy sojourn there?
