More bad news to report. The same Jaguar was targeted by thieves over the weekend, this time both inboard flaps were removed. If anyone comes across these for sale anywhere then please pm me or contact James Everett at everettaero@btinternet.com .
Kind Regards.

Absolutely correct. I have moderated the post and sent myself a stiff PM.
Back on topic please – no exceptions.

Jag pitot looks like opportunistic itinerant scrap metal thieves.
The Newark theft is so much more.

Whalebone has requested a public explanation as to why his post title was moderated.
I refer him to the CoC published at the top of the Forum
Unsubstantiated accusations aimed an entire cultural group are covered by this rule and as such I (moderator) had no choice other than to change it however much sympathy I (personally) had with the sentiment.
Discussions on the thefts from Bentwaters continue here. Discussions as to whether caravan dwelling itinerants deserve the classification as a ‘culture’ on General Discussion please. No exceptions.

Some of the moderation on this forum comes over as hypocrisy: ref this, (post 3)

I knew I had seen it but could not find it, It was the only reason why I had demanded a public bottom smacking !
I knew that I must have been encouraged into my discression by somebody, I just couldn’t remember who it was. 😀
As Private Godfrey would say “Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear”

P. 😉
In all the years I have been on here I have only been “moderated” twice. However both times it has been pretty draconian in application.
All I ask for is that if I upset a moderators sense of what is or is not acceptable that I am offered the chance (after sensible discussion via PM) to ‘self moderate’ . Obviously if a post is very inflammatory or contains bad swearing then yes…. instant action should be taken but……… ?
What should happen in a case like this ?
We probably all agree the word to mean what it does in common use ie “a theiving neer do well”.
In fact if you Wiki or google it up and do some research to call a Gipsy (who are members of a genuine minority group) a pXckey is a huge insult to them, the genuine Gipsy’s hate them (by their own admission) for giving them a bad name!
Who was genuinley wronged ? Who was insulted or had their self esteem lowered or their human rights infringed ?
The bottom line is how things are done properly. If it is a serious offence then a mod should be able to take pretty quick action to either alter or even delete something and do so confidant that they would have the support of all on the forum.
What I would regard as a minor discression should have an element of sensible discussion via PM before action, voluntary or otherwise, is taken. The moderation team have the ultimate power in the end but the forum is not their personal kingdom.
