My local paper has the brief details of a talk given to the ladies of the WI about an aircrash that happened in 1951 at Langrish near Petersfield Hampshire. An American pilot Lt Cdr Alan Koplenski was having a mock dog fight and crashed into some rocks(thats how the paper tells it).
In 1960 a propeller and some human bones were found which led to a new inquiry.
The WI are due to visit the crash site in September.
Any ideas on this one as I have been unable to find anything.
