Another Buried Aircraft Myth ( Or Not )

Hi All,
Well I went to my first north american airshow yesterday,at abbotsford, quite a bit different from european ones,almost no rules…fly over crowd, towards crowd,could get in the aircraft, sit in the cockpits, and even go throught the lancaster for a $5 donation..awesome…

Anway back to the thread..

The announcer said at one stage there was supposedly,aircraft buried on the airfield at the end of ww2, and possibly the new future building programm may unearth them.
Anyone any ideas what type they might be, if they were there..
