Identification of senior officers in a photograph?

One of my pictures on Flickr provoked a lot of interest through Slummer’s post on this forum – http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=102322 – so I now have my own login and I thought I’d see if anyone can help with another mystery.

All these images come from a set of World War Two medium format, high quality images bought at auction. There are well over a hundred images in total, with about a third being RAF, the rest split between army (c.40%) and navy (c. 25%). They seem to be professional, ‘official’ pictures, indeed many of them look to be somewhat staged, like old Ministry of Information shots.

The picture at http://www.flickr.com/photos/whatsthatpicture/4822044364/in/set-72157624390146241/ appears to have King George and a number of very senior RAF (and army) officers. I am wondering if any of them are identifiable? Is there any other information that could be ‘read’ from the picture? There are already a lot of notes added (hover on the picture to view) and any corrections/additions would be very welcome. I am pretty sure it will date from c. 1940, and there is a map of the coast around Calais on the board.
