On the 10th of June 2006 a DC-3 painted in matt green with matt grey underside (nice accurate paint job) flew over me while i was on the bleaklow moors close to where a C-47 42-108982 crashed in 1945 at James’s Thorn.
It was flying very low and heading towards Buxton.
Can anyone tell me what it was doing/ why it was flying there?
I thought it was one of those ghost planes when i spotted it, as it was so low, yet strangley, i couldn’t hear its engines.
