Hello everyone,
Welcome to AIRBASE, I was there on Volunteer hangar tour duty on Sunday, and took a few more pics when my patch in the hangar went quiet (due to one of the Daks doing an airtest outside!)…

A general view of the hangar, taken from the restoration end, with our Anson and the visiting Howard 500 both on check.

Outside, classic propliners and a guest Chippie.

The mighty hunter!

OK, a bit of an abstract jumble, but what an abstract jumble. Four de Havilland classics in the foreground alone….

More British classics, the Meteor was built yards from her current home. The Proctor is simply lovely!

While the Meteor is not the biggest of our aircraft, it has a certain presence that you can feel all around the hangar.

Some more of the Anson.

And finally, G-AMRA, a popular member of the fleet, drawing a crowd as she depated on an air test. She then took on ‘taxi ride’ duties in the afternoon.

Thanks for looking (the pictures are not great as my better camera is unserviceable…. but hopefully it gives you a good impression of what we have on show!)
Cheers,
Will
🙂
