31 Squadron/Chindit supply Burma 1942-43.

Hi All,

This is my first post and I am looking for some help and advice. I have been researching my Grandfather and his time in Burma during WW2. He was a 1943 Chindit from the 13th King’s Liverpool regiment. I have learned a lot about his time back then from first sailing to India, right up until his death as a POW in Rangoon Jail.

I have collated over about 3 years an ever increasing Roll of Honour, which tries to include all the participants of operation ‘Longcloth’. I would dearly like to add on this Roll as many support personnel as I can.

Can anyone help with names of 31 Squadron Aircrew? I have some of the more famous members, like ‘Lummy’ Lord and Michael Vlasto, but it would be fantastic to find more and add them to the list.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
