Trying to help sort out a Griffon for a friend.
Does anyone know to a set of valve gear for one bank also a full matching set of main bearing shells (nominal).
I know the latter is a bit of a challenge as there are about four different set sizes .I am no engine expert but I think there are two different nominal sizes then there is a plus 10 and a plus 20.
If anyone can offer any suggetions much appreciated as we just bought a box with about 80 shells in it and got 5 to match.
OR does anyone know anybody who can re plate the shells when they get worn out ?. We know about spraying the bronze on but apparantly its a bit hit and miss cant find a plater who can put that much metal on as apparantly they have to put a layer on then skim the shells then put the next layer on a bit of a long process to get the thickness needed.
Many thanks guys
Mike
