Unknown Seaplane to Identify

Hi,

normally in English speking aviation I call myself Romantic Technofreak, but the name string here is too short for that. I use to collect e-pictures of rare, beautiful or special-looking aircraft.

From time to time, I may find something unknown to me, with no chance to find out the identity. In earlier times, I used to frequent airwarfareforum.com, but this one sorrily was closed down about a year ago.

Until now, I didn’t find a subtitute for this loss. But then a member of Warbirds Information Exchange recommended your forum to me. I saw that you identified (or let say, one of you forwarded the identity here of) the Weymann CTW 231. This one was discussed on airwarfareforum.com about two years ago, but nobody could identify it. So, its picture waited for identification since that time on my disk.

Only a short time ago, I found the following, rather inconspicious looking seaplane:

The picture is from flickr.com. The aircraft might also be French, because I plucked it out of a group of French aircraft, but also could be something very different. A characteristic is the winglet connecting the engines. This reminds of a Saro Windhover, but the latter employed three engines and wore the winglet over them.

Can you identify this aircraft?
