I have become interested in Flight Sergeant William Thomas Allen who was killed in action on the 2nd of November 1942. He was flying Hurricane IIc HL888 of 238 Squadron and was likely shot down by Hauptmann Homuth of I.JG27. He is now buried at el Alamein. His parents were Newstead Adams and Eveline Mary Allen of Newcastle.
What I’d like is anymore family information or death notices from newspapers of the day. A photograph would be perfect. I have asked Newcastle Central Library and they have said they will get back to me but it may take considerable time.
If anyone has any information or any ideas on how to progress it would be most appreciated.
