RAF airfield find

Hi,

Can anyone id what aircraft type this plate may be from found the other week?

It has the following stamps:

Drg No. 91117 P iss J

Serial GS/1730

and inspectors stamps:

GS39
GS17
GS26
GS5
CA17
AID358 ??

As you can see dated 1941 – my guess is Hurricane or Spitfire but would be nice if someone can confirm.
