At the beginning of the year, I did a massive clear-out of the garage just before it got demolished, and in doing so unearthed a smattering of photos of WW1 replicas.
So, here they are!
Thorpe Park Fokker Dr.1 – and some small child, whose identity I do not know… :rolleyes:
Not sure what the RFC-marked aircraft is behind, though.
I’m fairly certain this is the La Ferte Alais-based Fokker Dr.1

Great thread! I’m a bit of a sucker for Great War aircraft, with their fragility, beauty and rarity. Here are a few gems from Down Under.
Firstly at The Australian War Memorial:
The Pfaltz is hung right next to the cafe – the perfect place for a latte!
One of the most poignant items is the control column from Manfred von Richtofen’s triplane, which he was holding when he received his fatal wound.
A couple of weeks ago I went to my local museum at Bull Creek, Perth. A couple of tidy replicas there:
And almost on topic, not a Fighter, but a Tourer!

The Pup was a new build, finished a few years ago after the chap who was building it died, sorry carnt rememer the Name:confused: Its based down in Devon. A few from me:)
