The items in the first post look to me as if they are tail surface control balance weights ex Me 109.

Nope, it’s part of the FuG 16 radio.

The other parts don’t appear to be Fockewulf

Also this thing…..can anybody tell me what this is?

Is it just me or does that look like the control for a VCR?

Seriously, it has the ‘feel’ of a bomb fuse to me but that’s a guess.

Can anybody tell me what the use was for these steel things on the fighterplane.

I do not know for sure but I’d say they were mass-balances from the elevators.

Hi Graham,

Mine blocks them too, but there is a type that sneaks past the software.

That said, I’m due an upgrade!

Thank you, Bruce.

I’ll check on the pop-ups – nothing worse.

Now that’s a surprise. I was beginning to think I was Robinson Crusoe!

Many thanks, GliderSpit, I’ll try your suggestion. ( I had tried an email link but to no avail.)

If you’re interested, look at www.ee138.net

Much appreciated,

Fin.

You could try to post your question in a new thread with a somewhat more appealing titel. Especially when you use one of the magic words (Spitfire, RR Merlin or Lancaster), the chance that you get your answer will increase dramatically.

Well, I tried, lol.

Hello! Anyone out there?

Silence.

Oh well, time for some poetry on the thread at the end of the universe..

” ‘Tis calm indeed ! so calm that it disturbs
And vexes meditation with its strange
And extreme silentness. Sea, hill, and wood,
This populous village ! Sea, and hill, and wood,
With all the numberless goings-on of life
Inaudible as dreams.”
