Seeking a Lycoming

Looking for a none airworthy Lycoming eitheran 0480 or an 0540
dont need paperwork just a complete engine that may ground run with some encouragement.

You just need to look through the applicable types for the engine and I am sure you will find an aircraft that is dying with that type of engine fitted – Beech Queenair readily springs to mind as one user.

Thanks David yes Queen air was mentioned as one possible donor but unfortunately up here in the wilds unlike the masses in the south we have few airfields and dying aeroplanes tend to get evicted or moved rapidly.Hence my request.

Anyone happen to spot a likely candidate leads appreciated,someone has kindly already suggested one aircraft breaker but perhaps the airfield or owner might be a more cost effective route.But I may be wrong.

When the lady arrives and we have swept out the cobwebs I will post some photo’s hopefully will finaly then get to the bottom of its identity.We have some thoughts but nothing certain as yet.

your problem is they are still core deposits so command a price

the lower one though has probably had a prop strike if its had a run out down but at 10 hours it will still require a strip and that aint cheap.
