In their I Sqn aircraft, CORGI issued JX-T with Arthur Clowes’ Wasp nose art.
Only recently picked this up.
They are sorry – it should have been JX-B!!

It matters to some people;) personally i’m not bothered either way but i am curious:)

Does it actually matter if the price will or won’t go up eventually?
Most people buy these diecasts to sit in their living room thinking that they fairly accurately represent a particular aircraft. That’s one reason why I stick to kit building, any mistakes I make through lack of research are my own.
Thankfully the likes of Tim are about to put these manufacturers straight.:)

So that means the entire production run is wrong so technically they dont have a mistake just the wrong markings which means the price of them in later years wont go up…is that right?

Rectified? No, “because it was a Limited Edition”.
But things are in hand to prevent further boo-boos!

Perhaps it would have been worth buying and leaving in the box?
Star Wars figures with mistakes and still in the box/packaging can be worth a mint…
You are quite correct.
Not just SW figures either – I have in my collection some diecast buses with factory errors, including one where, it is estimated, only a dozen or so “escaped” the factory QC. Estimated value? I daren’t ask.
Hold on to the model – It will be worth something one day! 😀

Just to put the record straight
Having had a similar experience with Corgi myself in the recent past……..I tried to give them feedback by way of writing to them (and finally ended in a phone call -due ot lack of any response) ; sorry only one expression to sum up their attitude as ”idol complacency”

One of their more obvious errors.
That’s what stopped me from buying it!

Star Wars figures with mistakes and still in the box/packaging can be worth a mint (according to a pal who seems to know!! he talked about some figure from the 70s) I dont:)
I take it the mistake has now been rectified?

Didn’t really have a clue as to what was going on in those days & have now forgotten most of what I did know.
Which is a darned sight more than most of us will know or ever experience.
Agree with what Bager says, probably a bit too early yet but do you know what the programme will be called or likely broadcast times?
Will you be at the Legends airshow?
Anyway, great weather for gardening:)

So easy for clumsy (or agenda-ized) editors to modify the footage so you appear to say something you didn’t actually say as well.
Like cutting a particular question and the wrong answer, to the remaining answer is attached to a different question.
But at least some of what you remember & want others to know about will be preserved, so by all means, please do participate… future generations will gain the benefit.

Hello again!
Yes – dark ages! Didn’t really have a clue as to what was going on in those days & have now forgotten most of what I did know.
Busy? Managed to dodge most things but, for family’s sake, I’ve given in to BBC filming next month. I HATE getting quoted. So easy to say something you’d rather not have said!

Hi Tim, it’s good to see people like yourself, that are the primary source of evidence, pointing these errors out!
I take it you have a busy few months coming up, does it seem like 70 years ago?

Nice photo of the ‘B’ Flight Board.
From the names I guess that would have been late 1940 at Wittering?

P.S. The 1/32nd scale model of Kut’s Hurricane IIC ‘Night Reaper’ is one of their better attempts.
