Hello all,
I have come across a switch box with 4 toggle switches on it. It is marked AM and Ref No. 50 553 – not sure on last digit it is either a 5 or a 3.
Is this a generic item or was it type specific.
Over to you guys

www.spitfirespares.com is a great point of reference, if nothing else. They have a photo of the switch box 5D 553, and say it was used in pre-1943 aircraft like Wellingtons, Hampdens, Swordfish etc… only £35!

Cheers guys.
I was reading the number from a photo as I’d not noticed it when I looked at the real thing.
I suspected it was generic. It is fitted in a boat that a friend and I are going to restore.
