Vampire T.11 at Duxford today.

Just a quick thank you to the pilot of the Vampire that did a lovely gentle display at Dx today as he was passing through. Its such a pleasure to hear and see this wonderful aircraft still operating… and only a short while after the Sabre had returned, displayed and landed as well. A double treat.
Hats off to all you guys who keep these classic jets airworthy. 🙂

I didn’t realise that there seem to be two in “storage” at the Midland Air Museum, one centre section in the Mig-21 hanger, and one with tarpulens over it in the storage area along with what seems to be an F-86 tail and other treasures !

Typical i missed this, was it the Vampire from Cranfield or another one?
