I saw this on the Antique Airplane Association’s site…
There are several photos of a very accurate SE-5A replica flying with an original Hispano-Suiza powerplant…and some other original bits.

It’s a site worth book marking if you’re interested in between the war civil aircraft.
Yes, most of the planes are American…but it also gives you a glimpse into the U.S. antique (non-warbird) aircraft scene. Basically, it’s a group of knowledgeable and talented restorers doing unheralded work at the “grass roots” level.
Also posted are some recent videos of a D.H. 89 flight…

Fantastic! 🙂
The SE5a has been a favourite WW1 aircraft for a long time – just pipping the Dr.1 to the post! 😉

Christ! That’s not a replica, it’s an artwork! And I’m serious, it is a work of art. Absolutely superb.
And that website is bookmarked, thank you very much.

Agreed! Amazing to think of the effort the builder must have gone to, both in terms of sourcing original parts and scratch building some seriously complex items like the radiator. I hope it gets the attention at Oshkosh that the builder deserves. 🙂
