The ‘liberation’ of these airframes was somewhat controversial and it may be that whoever has them would rather keep a low profile, rather than draw attention to themselves and risk having them seized by some higher authority.
I suspect that had they been left in Iraq, their careers would have been quite brutal, and short.

Iraqi Fury’s.
A few snaps froma colleague, so credits to him, cheers Reg. Obviously Iraq and about to be containerised for onward shipment to the UK, but can anyone tell us the fates of the aircraft in the pictures? As they have folding wings, are they Sea Fury’s? I think war bounty is a ggod thing in this case, as long as they come out of hiding.
