Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were bitterly cold days and there was white frost on the ground on Thursday when I left for Duxford, so I dressed for winter. What happened.? The sun shone and we had a mini heat wave.
Anyhoo.
The HAC Hurricane was out and about and went flying and their Nimrod was given an engine run out on the airfield. The Fighter Collection Mk V Spitfire was parked on the grass by the crowd barrier and was being used as a backdrop to a photo shoot with some Aston Martin cars. The T.20 Sea Fury was taken to the top end of the airfield to be tied down and given a max engine run with Stephen Grey in the cockpit. A German registered (who said they don’t have a sense of humour) Harvard arrived and parked up on the grass by ARCo. In the afternoon it did some aerobatics trailing smoke.
