Slingsby Grasshopper

Hi All

Following on from the very popular Olympia 2b thread, (which by the way is flying an awful lot down at Parham), I thought I’d start a new thread! With a recover of the Oly due this winter I find myself with a little spare time to start another project, and yesterday I collected a Slingsby Grasshopper. This one is one to keep for me and a colleague (rather than syndicating at Parham), so we’ll conduct a full rebuild now.

I’m in need of a few items for flight, and also, a few items if possible, for play!

Current quick glance-over wishlist:

Set of Straps (Pics to follow)
Rear Cushion
Elevator Driver lever and arm (pics to follow)
Set of ballast weights

Tripod and stand
Photos and memories from anyone on here who flew such things!

I’m sure people wont be adverse to watching progress on here, I’ve a busy business to run which will take some time away however I’ll do what I can here and there – its a good job its a simple craft!

Is there anyone out there who could resize my pics for me so I can post them here – i’m a complete technophobe! PM me and I’ll send them through if thats ok – they’re all about 1Mb
