Free Radio/Radar Resource

Isn’t it nice to find free and useful information on the internet. This may be old news to some of you but those nice people at the Vintage and Military Amateur Radio Society have made their archive of radio and radar manuals available online for free. Although the vast majority of the manuals are for bits of Army kit there is still a lot of RAF/FAA kit in there. This includes Air Publications for T1154, R1155, TR1143, TR1196, Gee, Gee H, H2s, ASV Mk.III and AI Mk.IV along with quite a bit of American Kit.

If you only download one PDF file I would recommend item 632, AP1093D Vol.1 Part II, Introductory Survey of Radar. This covers most of the major airborne radar aids used by the RAF up to 1946.

Stock up on paper and printing ink.

Thank you very much for that. I am sure that the notes on the No 19 wireless Set will be of great interest to my fiance’s Grandfather who used such a set in Churchills from August 44 to may 45.
