This was a Vega-built B-17G-60 with the serial 44-8324.
This machine flew from Bassingbourne during 1944-45 with the 91st Bomb Group / 401st Squadron, coded LL-R. Unusually the aircraft name was painted in oversized letters reaching up the fuselage side and over the wing root. As far as I know the machine survived the war.
