Identification of DB605 part?

Hi guys…

Whilst its pi… sorry, pouring down with rain on this Bank holiday Friday, would any of you have an idea as to what the device is and its purpose as circled on this sectioned DB605?

I would like to say memory but no I have the DB605 and DB601 spares, DB605 gen and tech in english and german manuals plus the Bosch component manuals and some VDM info.

Out of interest, did you know that from memory or do you have/know of any published sources on the DB60x series? My library is distinctly lacking a decent tome or two on German aero-engines so any pointers appreciated.
