Can anyone direct me to good sources of pictures of gauges and controls used on the Fairey Gannet AEW3 cockpit? I have several pictures of the various panels in the main cockpit but none of them are really all that clear.
I am developing the aircraft for flight simulator X-Plane and am trying to replicate the cockpit layout. Unfortunately I do not have the make and model of the required gauges and controls either. I have several books on this aircraft but none of those have very clear pictures.
Thanks,
Ian

Hi Pagen01,
thanks for the information, I was not aware of that source. I will have a look there. As I mentioned, I do have a pdf of the Pilots Notes but the illustations are not very clear.
Thanks again,
Ian

Talking of pilots notes, you can get really good quality scans of these from The National Archives, next day internet/email service costs £8.00, but well worth it IMO if you quickly need good references. You can specify which pages you want copying, ie the three plus pages of cockpit illustrations and key.

Thanks folks for all the suggestions, they have given me plenty to work on. I also came across the Pilots Notes which have given me a lot of information although the illustrations are not so clear (but clear enough to give me something to work on).
Thanks again

Not sure about the quality – but if you contact NAM they might be able to help further; one of the trustees writes flight sim software – Shackleton MR3 and Dove are a couple of his that I’m aware of.
