I seem to recall that a few times during the 1980-1990’s Air Atlantique commenting that they were going to receive a Lockheed Neptune. I know they never bought one to the UK but did they ever acquire an airframe at all and any ideas why the idea never progressed to one never reaching these shores?

Didn’t they look to buy one in the US (ex-RAF IIRC) then change their mind when it turned out to be a bit ropey and dumped all its fuel all over the ramp? :confused:

Not sure about AA acquiring one but the one I was negotiating for in the late 1970s from the Netherlands went elsewhere in the Midlands! 🙁
