Books that list WW2 training accidents in Canada

Morning all

Do any of the Chorley books (or others) list losses that occurred in Canada. Specifically those of the Air Navigation Schools!

If so, which one?

Thanks

WW11 Training Accidents in Canada

There is an excellent source re the above. The book is “They Shall Not Grow Old”. It lists the names of all 10 Thousand plus RCAF members lost during the war. There are appendixes listing the RAF,RAAF, & RNZAF Casualties in and near Canada. The format is : rank, surname, initials, year, month, day, cause of death, unit# and location if known. The book is published by the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum Inc. PO Box 1481, Brandon , Manitoba, Canada R7A 6N3. They do have a website

www.airmuseum.ca

Hope this helps.

Some (not all) of the BCATP accidents are covered with ‘new’ photos in the Volume I’m currently producing (going to print by mid-April)… Look for “Aviation in Canada – (3rd Volume subtitle unavailable as of yet)” by Larry Milberry – CANAV Books…http://www.canavbooks.com/Booklist/

many, many rare and/or never before published photos included…

Thanks

Ansons of No.2 ANS is my line of enquiry. It doesn’t have to be books no.

Will look up the Air Britain publication.

If we are talking about UK published books, then no, there don’t seem to be any dedicationed to the training losses in Canada. Though a large number of books contain information.

As as example, the Oxford, Consul & Envoy File (Air Britain) lists individual histories and has a lot of crashes in Canada for Oxfords at the various navigation & bombing schools. The same can be said of the Anson File.

Does it have to be books and also what is it you are trying to find out?
