DC3 in BBC TV 'Survivors'

A lot of this week’s episode took place on an airfield.

The trailer showed that in next week’s ‘season finale’ one of the Atlantique / Classic Flight DC3s makes an appearance.

I was just wondering if anybody identified the airfield.

My money is on Bobbington / Halfpenny Green, but I wouldn’t put very much money on it.

At the end of last weeks episode they shown a preview of the next weeks show. They showed a man sitting behind a desk and just as I was thinking wasn’t that the man that used to run Ruskin Airways, one of his Dakotas landed behind him.

Think you have your actors mixed up, I beleive Ruskin was played by Roy Marsden and the actor in survivors is Patrick Malahide who used to play Insp. Chisholm in the original Minder series.
They do look similar though. 🙂

A couple of photos of ‘RA at Halfpenny Green the day after filming finished and the airfield re-opened to the public, along with a tug that was on the car park that I hadn’t seen there before.

Please excuse the quality, they were taken with an old pocket digi I always keep to hand!
