After finding a piece of lancaster around a dispersal at former Raf Binbrook i am seeing if i can trace the possibility of which a/c it came from.
I have made a list of a/c damaged on the base but dont have any detailed info on these a/c to where they had actually crashed on the base or damage etc,I hope some lancaster experts out there might be able to help me .
The a/c are as follows
ED315 28 june 1943 crash landed at Binbrook
R5745 UV-C 3 July 1943 Damaged in bomb explosion Binbrook
DV172 3 July 1943 Damaged in bomb explosion Binbrook
JA688 AR-G2 25/26 July 1943 Crash landed at Binbrook
JB704 16/17 Dec 1943 Crashed on arrival at Binbrook
JB738 AR-T 2/3 Jan 1944 Crashed on take off
ME646 7 Mar 1944 Exploded at Binbrook
JA687 7 Mar 1944 Damaged by ME646 Exploding at written off
ME727 AR-X2 9 Apr 1944 Crashed on take off
JB662 AR-? 18 Apr 44 Crashed on take off
NE139 4 July 1944 Crashed on take off
Looking after any information or pictures of these aircraft if possible.
There was once also a white painted lancaster or poss lincoln fuselage at binbrook sometime in the 60,s or 70,s if any one knows any information regarding the a/c as well as i have only ever seen one photo and no other information has been found anywhere so i thought i would ask the experts on here with your wealth of knowledge if you might be able to help me.
Thanks in advance

Peter, Binbrook’s got two threads on the go at the moment, piccies (and replies) are on the other one….
