What classic jet was in the air yesterday?…….

My friend phoned me and said that as they stood about in the Coventry area – they heard a whistling noise and a classic jet flew by on the horizon some distance away.

He said it may have been a Meteor? It was something unusual anyway. Thursday 28th Jan Coventry Area 2.15 PM? Any ideas?

OK – thanks for all the ideas folks! How many Privately owned Provosts (if that is what it was) are around?

And how much traffic is allowed in and out of Coventry because of it’s present problems pending?

Whistling is normally a Goblin engine on a Vampire jet is it not?

I can confirm Classic flight’s JP was up and about yesterday, the airport is technically closed but some flying is permitted subject to restrictions.
