Wow, that is fantastic service and it sounds about right, from the brief description my father gave me of what she looked like when he took his first (of many) flights.

I’m not sure of the exact date but am led to believe that it was from Dunkerswell in Devon.

I hope I’m asking in the right place, I’m after any information or photos regarding G-AGJG from the Late 50s’, early 60s’ for a project. Alas everything I’ve come across so far is from the current colour scheme.

The only time I saw G-AGJG was at London Airport in April 1953. It was being used for joy rides. Sorry, no photos.

Arrival at Duxford

Someone should have a better version of this. I believe this is from The Cambridge Evening News but scanned about 30 years after publication.

Just like to say once again thanks for all the help from everyone and especially Mark for the extra info so I thought I’d share these illustrations of G-AGJG from the summer of 1959
