Warbirdz website down??

Bron and Glen could away on holiday and the server needs a reboot. Unfortunately as they host it at home others probably don’t have access to the hardware.

I saw that post before it was pulled down.

He stated as he has once again what he has observed from that site in its forums and he didnot hide the fact he new the admin personally.

Others above have also named an individual from I am assuming the warbirdz.net.au site.

He made a point of also feeling sorry for the site as he beleived it has one down hill.

It was in poor taste pulling it down. I have read the COC very recently as I have not long joined the forum and it does not mention half of what you have just said.

I do agree that he may have been a little harsh but that is what an open forum is all about. A place for people to express view and to have an open discusiion.;)

It appears that you believe there are guarantees and responsibilities in forum management which in fact don’t exist.

The Warbirdz forum is run on a volunteer unpaid, unfunded basis for those interested to share aviation information, as we wish.

There is no argument over Warbirdz having outages. It happens, and it’s simply down to support and funding.

I’m sure if you wish to pay for better equipment or services, or offer to help, Bron, the admin would be interested. If you would like to back a guarantee to keep it online without fail, I’m sure that would also be of interest.

Otherwise, it’s a remarkable free offer.

I don’t think it particularly appropriate to discuss one forum on another forum, and any issues should be directed to the forum’s owners.

As a private forum, it’s entirely up to the forum’s owners to decide what’s acceptable to have on it, and as this doesn’t prevent posters posting elsewhere, it’s meaningless to cry ‘censorship’. There’s nothing to stop anyone setting up their own forum where they can direct to their heart’s content.

He should maybe learn that launching an attack on a named individual, even one running another site, is simply unacceptable and likely to incur the wrath of the webmaster, as in this case.

A careful study of the CoC (At the top of each forum) is highly recommended for new posters.

Moggy C.I think he is saying that he had a previous post on this topic and it was pulled down.Like to have seen it myself as he has made a good point about the warbirdz site.I have had a quick look at the post dates he has quoted here from warbirdz forum and he is right.They are saying on their own forum about site outages.

Cencorship is on this forum has already dissapointed me and my friends.

Assuming you mean censorship that is an odd claim coming from somebody on their second post.

I know that over the past 5 + years warbirdz.net has been around that it has been down numerous times. And the posts from admin in its forums prove it. And even the odd post on this forum to.
Oh but I am sorry, Warbirdz.net lost a large amount of its old forums data due to another site failure.
I am merely stating a fact.

There would be more but again they lost a large part of there forum data.
I was a fan of warbirdz.net but it has gone down hill fast. Bron has let us all down.
