I do think the real DC3 fans will enjoy such a taxi ride at EK. Will the DC3 fly in 2010 at EK or will its appearances be limited to taxi runs this year?

N473DC is going to be flying quite a few displays in 2010 including Abingdon airshow. She will be operating from EK for the whole of the 2010 season.

Both the Lanc and Dakota are potentially great experiences but at £200 and £75 respectively that seems a helluva lot of money to pay to stay on the ground, however unique the experience. But good luck to you, if you have takers at those prices you must be doing something right and we all spend our money how we wish. I am only sorry that it is out of my league.

She is licenced on the American register and owned by an American company. It makes operating her alot easier than if she were a G- reg….or so im told!

But isn’t it sad that flights can no longer be offered 🙁

If an aircraft built in the USA, it can be put, and kept on, an N reg – and I was also told that it makes operating a lot easier!

A great idea & a fair price if you ask me.

As for £200 to taxi in Jane, how can you gripe when you cannot do this anywhere else in the world at ANY price?? That looks like a bargain to me…

Frank

Just seen the price – £75 and upwards per seat !

Whoever came up with that figure needs to take a reality check.

Put this in the context of, for instance, the DH Charity Flying event, where you can FLY in a Tiger, Dragon, Chipmunk or whatever for 20 mins or so.

I hope their event goes well for them, and no doubt they ( like everyone else ) is in need of funds but…………………….:(

Maybe so, but a Tiger, Dragon, Chipmunk etc isn’t a Dakota – you could say the same about the Lancaster ride, why pay £200 for a ride in that when you could go in a Dakota for £75!

Personally i’d pay the prices they’re offering for both aircraft, there isn’t a chance to do so anywhere else in the UK

Very reasonably priced I would think. Would be nice with an optional paratrooper kitout for a photo shoot (or am I just too childish here). Despite having flown plenty in C-47s I would still consider it, although Just Jane is my first love and will get my money whenever I manage to get my backside to East Kirkby.
