An appeal for βa replacement British version of the Direction Finding Aerial Pod, for its Avro Anson VL348β has just gone on the news page of the museum website.
Any thoughts?

Hi TO
If you’re talking about the DF loop fairing on the fuselage upper surface, we might just have what you’re after. If you can PM/e-mail me with dimensions, pictures etc we could discuss further

I donβt believe that they have!
There was a whisper that someone had one for sale at the autumn Aeroboot and the hope is that it might make its way back here on April 17th! π
Sorry if the weblink doesn’t work – the new site host is having a few glitches at the moment!!

Thanks for that suggestion WJ244 β sadly since the original post was made the βimplosionβ has become complete on one side! π
However on a positive note I was at NAM today and I was told that they have a contact for a possible replacement β that said any further leads would be appreciated.

I know it isn’t the best solution and it would also need a fair bit of work but if all else fails would it be possible to make a fibreglass one using the existing one as a master for the mould before it implodes completely.
