Andy Saunders mentioned a book?
Nice to know that you didn’t have to be an Ace to get your picture done – even if it was never published!

For whatever reason, I note from my diary that he also ‘did’ me at Northolt in late ’40.
Must have ben passing the time!!

Oh dear.
I seem to have been dimmer than usual today!
I did hear that Norman Franks was doing “the” book of Orde portraits.
By the way, I did see one Orde portrait in oils. The subject was Diana Barnato-Walker of the ATA.
Post-script……ahhh!
Having seen the old thread it all makes sense, now.
I will probably see Norman for lunch in next week or so. I will ask him about the project.

Ever decreasing circles!
I meant the title to be http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33926&highlight=captain+cuthbert+orde which mentioned a book of portraits?. That was too long by one character, so I shortened it & said add +orde,
When the title took one into the forum, I thought all was OK & deleted that advice not realising that, of course, it would, but not back to the earlier post. If that makes sense?

Do you mean “your” book, Tim?
Or one that I am working on….??
By: cotteswold - 24th November 2009 at 16:39
And ‘the book’?

Nice to see the image, Tim. From your Typhoon days I see.
What a good looking fellow!
