The New Zealand two seat Spitfire MH367 flew again today after a fantastic rebuild and repair after its mishap in February at Masterton. Well done to the Avspecs team on a superb job.

Show me anywhere on official paperwork the designation IXc. 🙂
Initially referred as ‘IX’ then ‘Early IX and IXe’.
Mark
ps. I have never seen a IXb referred either.
Beat me to it!

does it have a “c” wing or an “e” wing??
can anybody point me in the direction of a picture of a late IXc with clipped wings and the broad chord rudder – did such a beast even exist??
thanks

E-wing fitted.
There are numerous photos of Spitfire IX ML417, which is configured as you described (unless, of course, you’re after a wartime shot?)

Excellent news.
Like you say on your forum, Dave, those desert colours look spot-on for this particular Spit.
