Hi all,
Hawker Hunter XF526, an ex-4 FTS airframe, surives (more or less) in a farmers collection near Birlingham. This aircraft lacks the Hunter’s distinct “Sabrinas” and all four gun openings have been faired over.
Are these modifications by 4 FTS or were they conducted afterwards (when the Hunter became a ground instructional airframe or during its official “scrapping”)?

Modified for 4FTS. The FTS Hunters didn’t carry guns so the gun ports would have been faired over.
XF526 did carry guns though when in service with 229 OCU (63 Sqn) and earlier with 56 Sqn.
