You are of coarse quite correct I had obviously clicked a link thinking it was a new discovery but I was incorrect but still was an amazing amount of surplus Packard/Merlin stock just the same, your friend Ken has replied and gave the info about the acquisition and the Spitfire is on an when time allows to be restored basis.
